SANTA

毎年1枚ずつ、クリスマスアルバムを買うことにしている。
クリスマスアルバムって結構多くて、歌う曲は基本同じだから、そのアーティストの音楽性やアレンジなどがうかがえて面白いのだ。

今年購入したのはKenny Burrellのこのアルバム。
「Have Yourself a Soulful Little Christmas」



カラフルなジャケットも可愛らしくて良い。
内容もコテコテのジャズというよりは色々なアレンジでポップな印象もあって素晴らしい。


さて、毎年好きなクリスマスソングをちょっとずつ紹介してるのだけど、
今年はどんな曲がいいかな？

クリスマスソングって大きく2種類あって、
幸せな夜を、っていうのと、あとは独りで恋人と会えないっていうパターンと。
後者に意外と名曲が多い気もするが、どうかな？

という事でまずはPrince / Another Lonely Christmas。
しかもこちらはライブバージョンがYouTubeにあがってた。
Princeの得意なパターンの楽曲で、素晴らしい。



もういっちょ、ロンリークリスマス系。
これも大好きなグループの名曲。
The Emotions 「What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas」
今風に訳せば「クリぼっち、どうするよ？」って感じか？

だなんて、切ない超えて悲しいなあ。
しかし良い曲だこと。Anthony Hamiltonもクリスマスアルバムでカバーしてたね。

聖なる夜を、ということならやはり定番曲を最高のシンガーが歌うこんなのかな？

サイテーで最高！ファンキー！

どんな曲もいつものあのギターフレーズぶっこむのがかっこいい。
STAX時代の曲なので、かなりファンク色強くてそれも良い。





さて、今年のこの１曲は、どぎついこんな感じがいいかな？
